Romania Confirms 23rd Swine Flu Infection
The child is being treated at the infections disease hospital “Matei Bals” in Bucharest.
The ministry said the child is in good health condition.
On Thursday, Romania confirmed another three cases of infection with the A-H1N1 flu virus, in three nationals who flu in from the U.S.
The three patients came in contact with a foreign national infected with the virus.
None of the 23 swine flu cases confirmed in Romania resulted in the patient’s death.
Worldwide, the new A-H1N1 flu virus infected so far 59,814 people in 113 states, leaving 263 people dead, according to the latest figures released by the World Health Organization (WHO).
