Romania Confirms New AH1N1 Flu Case, Toll Reaches 49

Romania’s Cantacuzino Institute confirmed Wednesday a new case of infection with the AH1N1 influenza virus in a Croatian citizen who came to Romania on July 5 from the United States, the Health Ministry said.

The number of confirmed cases in Romania has reached 49.

The 24-year-old Croatian citizen was transferred from Ploiesti, southern Romania, to the "Matei Bals" infectious diseases hospital in capital city Bucharest. he is receiving antiviral medication and is in good condition.
