Romania Cut No. Of Family Support Allowance Beneficiaries By Over 450,000 In 2011

Checkups carried out by the Labor Ministry revealed a number of irregularities and the number of minimum guaranteed income beneficiaries was cut by 44,241, from 232,366 in 2010 to 188,125 in 2011. The state saved 88 million lei (EUR20.27 million).

The number of family support allowance beneficiaries was reduced to 348,000 in 2011 from 805,265 last year, said the minster.
