Romania Does Not Support Russia’s European Security Plan – President

Romanian President Traian Basescu said Wednesday Romania does not support the European security plan proposed by Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, adding the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and NATO are the international bodies that can solve these issues.

Basescu made this statement after a meeting held Wednesday in Bucharest with his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Saakashvili.

The Romanian president said, during a joint news conference, there are other international institutions that can solve problems regarding European security.
