Romania Forex Reserves Fall Slightly In December To EUR28.3B
Romanian foreign exchange reserves fell EUR434 million in December to EUR28.303 billion, according to central bank data released Monday.

At the end of November, hard currency reserves were at a record high of EUR28.737 billion.
The central bank said foreign exchange inflows stood at EUR2.76 billion in December, while outflows from reserves totaled EUR3.2 billion.
During 2009, Romania's reserves grew by EUR2.083 billion, from EUR26.22 billion at the end of 2008.
In addition to its foreign exchange reserves, the central bank reported holdings of 103.7 metric tons of gold with a total market value of EUR2.556 billion.
Therefore, Romania's overall international reserves amounted to EUR30.859 billion at the end of 2009, from EUR31.334 billion in November.
The payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt in January amount to EUR107 million, according to the central bank.
