Romania, Germany Electronics Prices Were Similar In ‘07 – Eurostat

On this segment, Romania ranked 27 among the 37 states analyzed by Eurostat.

In Poland, the prices reached 93% of the EU average, in the Czech Republic 92%, while in Bulgaria the prices were at 83%, according to an Eurostat study.

At the same time, prices in Romania were below those in Slovenia, where the prices were equal to the EU average, Hungary (97% of the EU average) and Slovakia (96% of the EU average).

The highest prices were registered in Island, the prices here being 41% above the EU average.

As for the prices for household appliances, last year Romania ranked 27, equal to Montenegro, the prices in the two states representing 93% of the EU average.

For these products too the prices in Romania were close to those in Germany, a state that ranked 26, with 94% of the EU average.

This survey covered a total of about 130 consumer electronics products and about 100 household appliances, enabling all countries to price a sufficient number of products representative of their consumption pattern, according to Eurostat.
