Romania Govt To Pull Initial Draft Legal Codes From Parliament

"The decision was to withdraw the initial draft Criminal and Civil Codes from the Parliament. The Secretariat General of the Government will send a letter to the Senate, requesting the withdrawal of these draft laws, those for which several NGOs filed memos. This was possible because these draft laws had not entered Parliament debate yet. Thus, the Codes debated in the two Parliament committees remain valid,” minister in charge with Parliament relations Victor Ponta told MEDIAFAX.

The Government announced it will take responsibility for the Criminal Code and Civil Code early June.
