Serbu, and the president of SAGIS spa (SAGIS spa is the owner of Moto Club Santerno, manager of the Formula 1 circuit at Imola, as well as the organizer of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in San Marino), Federico Bendinelli, the vice president of the Enzo & Pino Ferrari course, Bruno Morgandi, Gaitano Limongi, met Tuesday to discuss the organization of a round of the FIA GT World Championship in Bucharest in October.
"Bucharest Challenge is dead and Romania Grand Prix is born. It remains to be seen if this brand will be maintainable. Bucharest Challenge is an illegal event. We intend to make a change in the FIA calendar, because August is not a good month, since people are on vacation. We hope to find an opening in the calendar and organize Romania Grand Prix in October. It is certain that the event will be organized this year, but it all depends on the support we receive from local and sports authorities," Serbu said in a press conference.
