Romania Has No Plans To Tax Pensions, PM Says
The draft state budget, which sets the wage and pension policy, does not include any plans to tax pensions, nor is the government considering taxing pensions, Boc said.
The prime minister also laid out the Government’s priorities, which are the adoption of the state budget, reforming loss-incurring state-owned companies, investments, and EU fund absorption.
A union federation of Romanian pensioners said earlier this week it would sue the Government at the European Court of Human Rights and pensioners would protest in the streets if pensions are taxed.
