Romania Jobless Rate Slightly Up To 4% In Oct

Romania’s jobless rate stood at 4% in October, slightly up from 3.9% in September, the National Employment Agency said Thursday.

It said number of registered unemployed people reached 364,183 people nationwide, of which 174,489 are women.

Highest jobless rates were reported in counties Mehedinti (8.7%), Vaslui (7.7%), Teleorman (7.6%), Dolj (7%) and Gorj (6.7%).

Overall unemployment rate in October 2007 stood at 4.1%, the Agency said.
