Romania July Passenger Car Sales -40% On Month To 8,336 Units
Romanian new passenger car sales fell 40% on the month to 8,336 units in July and were down 31.7% compared with the year-earlier period, the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association, or APIA, said Friday.

In June, new passenger car sales stood at 13,892 units, the data showed.
Dacia, made locally by French Renault's unit Dacia Automobile, was the best-traded brand on the local new cars market in July with 2,900 units, followed by Volkswagen with 886 units, Ford with 720 units and Renault with 635 units.
In the first seven months of 2010, Romanian new passenger car sales reached 61.288 units, down 26% from the year-earlier period.
Overall auto sales, including commercial vehicles and buses, stood at 68,244 units in the January-July period, also 26% lower from 92,526 units traded in the same months a year ago.
In 2009, Romanian new car sales fell 54% on the year to 147,962 units.
