Boc said he hopes that the flood damage evaluation process will be completed countrywide in two to three weeks. Romania must submit its request to the EU's Solidarity Fund in ten weeks from June 23, when floods began.
The Prime Minister added that he is relying on the experience of local county council head Gheorghe Flutur, who was granted EU Solidarity Fund aid in the 2008 floods.
According to Boc, Romania can receive a maximum of EUR75 million from the relief fund.
Boc arrived Sunday in the heavily flood-hit village of Zamostea, where he talked to flood evacuees and promised them their homes would be rebuilt before winter.
Boc said Saturday, after talks with the country's Emergency Committee, that the financial aid request for the European Union's Solidarity Fund is currently being drawn up.
Twenty-three people have died in the severe floods that hit Romania over the past two weeks and thousands have been evacuated from their homes.
A heavy rainfall alert is still in place for 16 counties until Monday morning.
