Romania’s legislation to settle work conflicts must be improved, as its unclear provisions create difficulties for employers, unions and courts alike, Labor Minister Paul Pacuraru said in a press conference Thursday.

He mentioned several aspects which require amending, such as the exact attributions the public institutions should have in each domain, or a clear definition of the obligations for the social parties involved.
 
Pacuraru said that the debates to amend the law settling work conflicts started early this year.
 
In addition, ministry officials held talks Thursday with a delegate of the International Labor Organization, which might grant technical support to Romanian authorities in view of improving the legislation in the field.
 
Pacuraru did not name the official of the international organization.
