Romania Nov Constr Output Sees 3rd Biggest Monthly Rise In EU

Seasonally adjusted data placed Slovakia and Portugal ahead of Romania in terms of output growth in constructions, with monthly advances of 13.7% and 4.1%, respectively, EU’s statistics office Eurostat said.

Year-on-year, however, Romania reported the weakest performance across the EU, with a 24.4% decline in November construction output. Neighbor Bulgaria followed second, with a 22.5% annual drop in production, while Slovenia posted an 18.1% decrease.

Construction output in the EU declined by 0.6% in November compared with October. On the year, EU production fell 6.7%.
