Romania Nov Private Lending Down 3.9% On Year To RON208B
Romanian private lending fell 3.9% in real terms to 207.9 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2878) in November from the same month a year earlier, held down by local currency loans, central bank data showed Monday.

In real terms, private loans in Romanian lei fell 10.5% year-on-year to RON77 billion in November.
Foreign currency loans, when expressed in lei, rose 8.2% on the year to RON130.9 billion. When expressed in euros, hard currency loans were up 8% compared with November 2009.
Compared to October, the non-government loans were flat in November, on a 1.1% decrease in leu-denominated lending and a 1.2% increase in foreign-currency loans.
Deposits of non-government resident customers rose 1.9% on the month to RON172 billion in November.
End-November, government credit was at RON58.3 billion, up 14.3% in real terms compared with the year-earlier period.
