Romanian Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu, alongside Interior Minister Cristian David on Thursday agreed on several measures to increase passengers’ safety inside public transportation vehicles, following the stabbing of two pupils in a bus in Bucharest on Wednesday, ministry sources said.

One of the measures aimed to increase passengers’ safety would be deploying gendarmes in all stations in an attempt to prevent possible crimes, the mentioned sources said.

Two Bucharest pupils were stabbed in a bus on Wednesday following a quarrel with a group of six youngsters. One of the pupils suffered severe hemorrhagic shock, while the other had superficial wounds.
