Romania’s attaché in Vienna said that two Romanian citizens Liviu P.T and his wife Corina are being investigated under preventive arrest for aggravated theft.

Interior minister Cristian David said the situation is very serious as the Romanian citizen is a police officer and through his deed “he seriously violated the values and professional conduct to be displayed by a representative of the law.”

The minister referred to the situation “as a disgrace for a police officer.”

Romanian authorities will make sure the rights of the two citizens are observed according to the stipulations of the international agreement between Romania and Austria.
