Romania’s Nov Net Avg Salary Up 3.4% On Mo To RON1,121

In real terms in November, net average salary was up 2.4% on the month.

In November, airline employees saw the biggest wages, of RON2,768, followed by brokers with RON2,765. Employees in wood processing industry were at the opposite pole with RON645.

November net average salary in agriculture was RON800, or 2.3% higher on month. Net salaries in the industrial field averaged RON1033 in November, up 0.8% on the month.

At the end of November, the consumer price index rose by 0.93% on the month, boosting the annual index to 6.67% on the year.

Romania, which joined the European Union January this year, saw a 112.3% rise in its net salary in real terms since October 1990.
