People closed to the matter told MEDIAFAX Saturday Baconschi might be nominated for the country’s foreign affairs minister. Secretary of state with the Foreign Affairs Ministry Bogdan Aurescu was also rumored as possible nomination for foreign affairs minister.

Baconschi was President Traian Basescu’s counselor, ex-secretary of state with the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Romania’s former Ambassador to Portugal and the Vatican.
