„This concept will revise all our ideas about long-term investments,” Stafie told the MEDIAFAX Talks about Energy conference.

According to Iulian Iancu, head of the services and industry committee within the Chamber of Deputies, the European Union has assigned EUR4.2 billion for development of smart grid projects that aim to deliver electricity from providers to consumers using digital technologies. Thus, smart grids could save energy, reduce costs, but also increase transparency of the services.

Early 2011, the Economy Ministry might submit for public debate a draft of the energy strategy for 2010-2035 period, Stafie also said.
