Romania’s B'estfest Nominated At European Festival Awards

B'estfest, which is held every summer in capital Bucharest and has reached its third edition this year, is at its second European Festival Awards nomination. The festival was nominated for the Best European Festival Award last year.

The winner will be selected through the online voting session displayed on the official website of the contest http://eu.virtualfestivals.com/index.cfm?section=euroawards&yearid=7, until December 10. Voters are automatically registered in a contest to win tickets to next year's editions of winning festivals.

The European Festival Awards final takes place on January 13, 2010 in the Netherlands.

This year, B'estfest has also been nominated for Best Overseas Festival at the UK Festival Awards and was the only Romanian festival included in the competition. The Romanian festival competed with the likes of Rock Im Park (Germany), MELT! (Germany), Exit Festival (Serbia), Benicassim (Spain), Pinkpop (the Netherlands) and Roskilde (Denmark).

B'estfest is the only Romanian festival that has been an active member of the YOUROPE community since it was started in 2007. the community includes some of Europe's most famous festivals like Nova Rock (Austria), Pukkelpop (Belgium), Roskilde (Denmark), Oxegen (Ireland), Lowlands (the Netherlands), Exit (Serbia), Benicassim (Spain), Download (UK) and Rock'N Coke (Turkey).
