Romania’s Cinema Center Grants Film Director Radu Mihaileanu RON1.6M Financing

Film director Radu Mihaileanu obtained the highest financing, of RON1.6 million, during the second edition of the 2007 film competition, for the fictional feature film “Concertul” (The concert).

The “Concertul” project is a co-production between Castel Film and Les Productions du Trésor. Mihaileanu’s film obtained 53.99 points and the final grade for screenplay was 5.87.

The National Center of Cinematography, or CNC, this year financed seven feature films -RON8 million, four debut fictional feature films –RON3.6 million, six projects for short films-RON1 million, eleven documentaries and animation feature and short films-RON2.25 million, six fictional short film projects-RON1 million and ten development projects-RON150,000.
