Romania’s Football Team Ends Up In Group 7 Of 2010 World Cup Preliminaries
Romania is to play against France, the 2006 World Cup finalist, against Serbia, team which missed qualifications for the Euro-2008 and Austria, one of the hosts of the Euro 2008.
Florin Prunea, manager of the International Relations within the Romanian Football Federation said Romania has a tough group and is to fight against France and Serbia from equal positions.
Dumitru Dragomir, president of the Professional Football League said chance was not on the national team’s side at the draw for preliminaries of the 2010 World Cup.
Coach Victor Piturca said Romania’s group will be a tough one but added that any team can lose any game and no representative from the group 7 will be able to win all games.
The 2010 World Cup will not only be the largest sporting event in the world, but a showcase of the the modern, rugged beauty of Johannesburg and South Africa.
