Romania’s Forecast Commission Sees Avg Wage At RON1,819 In 2013

Romania’s National Forecast Commission, or CNP, revised upwards the forecast regarding the average net wage in the interval 2008-2013, which is seen to hike from RON1,181 per employee at the beginning of the interval to RON1,819 by 2013.

In previous estimations, presented in November 2007, the commission anticipated an average net salary of RON1,160 for 2008 and RON1,770 for 2013.

In 2007, the average net salary reached RON1,043, up 20.4% compared to 2006.

The average net salary is seen to rise to RON1,303 in 2009 and to RON1,425 in 2010. The 2011 and 2012 forecasts place it at RON1,552 and RON1,682 respectively.

According to CNP, this ascending rhythm will slow down from 13.2% this year to 8.1% in 2013.

The number of employees is seen to climb from 6.27 million to 6.6 million in the abovementioned period.
