The governing program aims to develop and modernize railroad, airport and maritime infrastructure, improve transport on the Danube river, as well as modernize 80% of the country's national roads by 2012.
The future Government also aims to improve the legislation regarding conditions of participation in auctions selecting the constructor to make transport infrastructure repairs.
The reconstruction of the Bucharest's North Station by transforming adjacent areas in commercial centers, financing the construction of the Transylvania Highway's Targu Mures-Bors route, finishing the Bucharest-Comarnic-Brasov highway and building a bridge in Agigea over the Danube-Black Sea Canal are some of the measures included in the governing program.
