Romania’s June Net Salary Up 1.7% M-M To RON1,379

Romania's net average salary in June was at 1,379 (EUR1=RON4.2116), up 1.7% compared with RON1,356 in the previous month, the National Institute for Statistics, or INS, said Tuesday.

The gross average salary was at RON1,887  in June, up 1.7% compared with the previous month.

Employees in brokerage sector saw the biggest average net salaries of RON3,935, while the hotels and restaurants industry employees were at the opposite pole with RON777.

The employees in the energy sector saw a 5% salary increase on the month in June, to RON2,440.

Net salaries in industry averaged RON1,293 in June, up 2.5% from April.

The average net salary in Romania rose 8.3% on the year in June.
