Chiuariu deemed unjustified the Council’s decision involving the justice minister’s request to revoke Doru Ţulus, head prosecutor of Section 2 with the National Anticorruption Department.

Given the situation, the minister cared to stress that one can easily sense the influence of the political climate on some of the decisions made by the Council.

According to RFI, Chiuariu said he could not find “another explanation" for the Council’s decision to reject the request to revoke Tulus, although its previous findings based on the report drawn up by its judicial inspection body indicated flaws in Tulus’s activity as head prosecutor.
