Romania’s New Fiscal Code To Be Approved In 2H Of ’09 – Fin Min

"The Fiscal Code will be developed and presented within the social dialogue group, and will be approved in the second half of the year," said Pogea in a press conference at the Government building.

Late February, Ministry of Finance official Dragos Doros announced that the rewritten form of the Fiscal Code will be posted on the Ministry of Finance website within several days, in order to be subject to public debate, and will be approved by March 31.

So far, the website has not posted and draft Fiscal Code.

The Law on the Fiscal Code was approved in Parliament in late 2003 and came into force on January 1, 2004. The law was amended several times in the past years through draft laws or emergency ordinances.
