Romania’s Parliament Decides Not To Hear Designated Deputy PM Marko Bela

The decision not to hear Marko Bela in a special commission, along with the other designated ministers, was made by the two chambers of the Parliament because the Hungarian minority party leader does not have direct attributions in any specific domain.

Marko Bela should have been heard in the parliament commission for education, culture, human rights and minorities' issues.

Romania's Parliament will hold hearings of proposed ministers in special commissions all day Tuesday and a confidence vote on the proposed government and its governing program Wednesday, Chamber of Deputies vice-president Ludovic Orban told MEDIAFAX.

Romania's Prime Minister-designate Emil Boc on Sunday announced the list of the country's new Cabinet that includes 15 ministries and a deputy prime minister position.

The proposed Cabinet includes democrat liberals, members of the Hungarian minority Party UDMR and independents.
