Romania’s Petrom Cuts Diesel Oil Prices 2nd Time This Wk

On Wednesday, Petrom cut its gasoline and diesel oil prices by RON0.06 and RON0.03 per liter, respectively.

Thus as of Thursday, one liter of Top Euro Diesel 5/Top Nordic Diesel costs RON3.67, while one liter of OMV Sprint Diesel can be bought with RON3.72 per liter.

Diesel oils Euro Diesel 5 and OMV Alpin Diesel cost now RON3.51 and RON4 per liter, respectively.

Petrom’s gasoline prices remain unchanged as of Thursday, at the values announced Wednesday.

Thus, one liter of unleaded Premium gasoline price costs RON3.77, while the unleaded Top Premium gasoline still costs RON4.14 per liter.

One liter of OMV Carrera 95 and of OMV Carrera 100 costs RON3.91 and RON4.54, respectively.

Petrom is the largest corporation in Romania and the largest gas and oil producer in Southeastern Europe. In December 2004, Petrom was privatized and became a part of OMV AG (OMV.VI), which is the majority shareholder.
