Romania Nov New Car Registrations Up 11% Vs Oct To 8,500 Units

In October, new car registrations were at 7,572 units, the ministry’s license and car registration division said.

Used car registrations were up 11% to 14,942 units in November from 13,889 units in October.

In January to November, new car registrations slumped 60% on the year to 104,699 units, while used car registrations were down 29% to 256,173 units.

Dacia, made locally by French Renault’s unit Dacia Automobile, was the best-traded brand on the local new cars segment in November with 2,828 units, down 23% on the year.

In 2008, new car registrations in Romania were down 8.6% on the year to 285,500 units, while used car registrations rose 150% to a record level of over 300,000 units.
