Romania’s Petrom Hikes Gas, Diesel Oil Pump Prices By RON0.07, RON0.06 Per Liter
Romania’s largest oil company Petrom SA (SNP.RO) hiked Thursday gasoline and diesel oil pump prices by 0.07 lei (EUR1=RON 3.6365), and RON0.06 per liter, respectively, the company said in a statement.

Petrom hiked Eco premium 95 prices to RON4.13 per liter, while unleaded Premium and unleaded Top Premium will cost RON4.1, and RON4.43 per liter, respectively.
Also, one liter of OMV Carrera 95 and of OMV Carrera 100 will also cost more, namely RON4.2 and RON4.83, respectively.
One liter of Top Euro Diesel 4 will cost RON4.48, while one liter of Euro Diesel 4 will cost RON4.4 per liter.
Petrom’s OMV Premium Diesel will cost RON4.81, and OMV Sprint Diesel will cost RON4.53 per liter, the company said.
Petrom last hikes its fuel prices mid-June, by RON0.06 and RON0.07 per liter. The company increased fuel prices two times in a row early May, by RON0.12 per liter.
Petrom’s price policy takes into account international oil prices but also the local market evolution. The company operates some 450 gas stations in Romania.
In 2007, Petrom reported RON12.98 billion in revenue, down 6.8% on the year, and a net profit of RON1.778 billion, 22% lower compared with 2006 profit.
