„The lending activity will resume. It won’t be a sudden process and there’s no specific date as to when it will start (…). It will be a gradual increase,” Isarescu told a news conference.

He said the growth process will not be similar for all lenders. „We can already see a differentiation between the banks,” Isarescu added.

The central bank’s chief noted the lending process will not put significant pressure on the inflation in 2010.
