In November 2007, the birthrate on Romania’s territory was still below death rate, according to the National Statistics Institute.

In November, 17,507 newborns were registered, with 2,856 fewer than the previous month. The birthrate decreased to 9.9 newborns per 1,000 inhabitants.
The death rate increased to 12.3 deaths per 1,000 inhabitants from 11.7 deaths in October 2007.
The rate of infantile mortality increased by 11.0 per 1,000 inhabitants in November 2007, against the 10.8 infantile deaths registered in the previous month.
In November, 2,772 divorces were approved by the courts of law, 560 cases more than in October of the same year. The divorce rate increased to 1.57 divorces per 1,000 inhabitants from 1.21 divorces in October.
