Romania’s President Accuses Parliament Of Blocking Corruption Files
Romania’s President Traian Basescu said Tuesday in a speech in Parliament that “during the last five years the constitutional reform has not been concluded and no dignitary was convicted” while the Parliament is still blocking certain corruption files.

The president spoke for nearly two hours and his speech was an activity report of his five-year mandate.
By the end of the speech about 250 lawmakers, mainly democrat liberals, the ministers and Prime Minister Emil Boc remained in the parliament chamber.
Only six liberals and several representatives of the Hungarian minority party remained until the end of the speech when the democrat liberals stood up and applauded the president, determining all the others to do so.
