Romania’s President OKed ’08 Social Insurances Budget, Not State Budget

“Romania’s president Traian Basescu on Friday, December 28, 2007, signed the decree to promulgate the 2008 Law on the State Social Insurance Budget,” a Presidency press release reads.

The 2008 state budget law and the social insurance budget law received Parliament’s approval on the December 20 meeting. Both laws were sent for promulgation on December 22.

According to Romania’s Constitution, the president has 20 days to promulgate a law once he receives it.
