Romania Fin Min Plans To List Bonds June 28

"The bourse has yet a few technical elements to settle. The ceremony will take place Monday at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, where the National Bank of Romania management is expected as well. If all things are settled, the first treasuries will start trading from that moment," Vosganian said.

Only in 2008, the ministry has sold about 2.1 billion lei ($921 million) worth of bonds in 13 auctions. 

So far this year, Romania has sold RON5 billion worth of bonds and treasury bills and plans to sell RON11 billion by the end of the year.

In 2007, the ministry sold about RON9 billion worth of bonds and T-bills, compared with a planned RON12 billion. It said it may borrow up to RON11 billion from the local market in 2008.
