Health minister Eugen Nicolaescu Thursday attended the general council of the Sanitas Federation and presented unionists with an improved offer comprising wage increases of 11%, of which 6% in April and the rest of 5% in October.
Following the proposal forwarded by the minister, most Sanitas members signed the agreement and decided to postpone going on strike until the end of January.
The government emergency ordinance that includes the new stipulations is to be signed in the next week government meeting.
Marius Petcu, chairman of the union, on Wednesday, stated that the health minister sent unionists an improved offer comprising 10% wage increases.
On the other hand, Petcu also reminded about the conflict between the employees working in the sector of social assistance and the Labor Ministry. He added he would send on Thursday an ultimatum to the labor ministry asking for the conflict to be settled.
