Geoana said the education laws launched by the ministry for public debate are “improvised, incomplete and unprofessional.”

The official said social democrats refuse to vote the laws as they fail to meet the requirements of the Romanian education system.

Geoana said the party would come up with its own education laws.

The law drafts in the education sector were finalized this year after they were debated by the representatives of the Ministry of Education together with unions and the academic community.

The law package contains the Pre-University Education Act, the Higher Education Act and the Status of the Personnel Working in the Education Field.
