Chiuariu stressed that both him and Clemente are pleased with the cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries.
Magistrates’ task will consist in establishing direct contact with the competent services and the judicial authorities of the host country, Chiuariu said in a press conference after the agreement was signed.
“The European citizens, either Italians or Romanians, expect the European politicians to be competent and to take concrete measures whenever necessary, just like we did today (Saturday– e.n.), not to make mind-blowing statements and take populist approaches with no real impact, which can only lead to fear and confusion," Chiuariu concluded.
