Romania September Jobless Rate Rises To 7.5%

Romania's unemployment rate was at 7.5% in September, compared to 7.3% in August, seasonally adjusted data from the statistics institute INS showed Monday.

The number of unemployed people was estimated at 727,000 in September, slightly up from 709,000 in August. Male unemployment rate was 7.9%, while female unemployment reached 7.1%.

The figures are based on the definition recommended by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
