Romania Under Bitter Cold Alert From Wednesday Until Sunday

Romanian weather authorities on Tuesday extended an orange code alert for heavy snowfall and blizzards until Wednesday for several counties in the southeastern part of the country, and expect frosty weather countrywide until Sunday.

In southeastern Romania, the wind will blow at a speed of 70-80 km/h until Wednesday at 10 p.m., said meteorologists.

Romania will be under a yellow code alert for extremely cold weather from Wednesday until Sunday morning. Temperatures will drop to minus 25 degrees Celsius.
