Romania Unemployment Rate at 3.9% in January

Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged down to 3.9% in January from 4% in December 2018, data from the country's statistics board showed Friday.

An estimated 354,000 people were unemployed in Romania in January, compared with 359,000 people in December, and with 403,000 people who were jobless in January 2018, the data showed.

The jobless rate among women stood at 3.4% in January, while the rate among men was 4.2%.
