Earlier Wednesday, Prime Minister Emil Boc said he sent the health minister nomination made by the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) to the head of state. He highlighted that the new health minister will also coordinate the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), which will remain in charge of the healthcare budget.

People close to the matter said Ritli will most likely be sworn in Wednesday evening at the Presidential Palace.

Ritli is a specialist in pediatric oncology and hematology, senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in the University of Oradea. Since 2010, he is the medical director of the „Dr. Gavril Curteanu” City Hospital in Oradea.
