Heavy Rain Expected In 22 Romanian Counties Monday Evening To Tuesday Evening

Romanian meteorologists on Monday issued a code yellow advisory for heavy rain, valid from Monday evening until Tuesday evening for 22 counties in northern and central Romania.

According to the advisory, heavy rain is expected from 06:00 p.m. on Monday until 06:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in the country’s central and northern regions.

Precipitation is expected to exceed 20-25 liters per square meter and even 50-60 liters per square meter in some areas. Precipitation could turn into hail in some areas and windstorms will settle in temporarily, along with heavy rainfall.

Romanian hydrologists issued Sunday a code yellow flood warning, valid until 11 p.m. on Monday, extending the advisory issued Saturday for the western half of the country.
