Sandu presented Tuesday the weather forecasts for the following year.
"Normal weather does not exclude blizzards and temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius in January or February. Such phenomena are perfectly normal for geographical positions like that of Romania,” Sandu said.
He added precipitations next year will stay within normal parameters for the country’s type of climate.
Sandu concluded that unlike 2007, in 2008 "Romanians won’t see long periods of extreme weather, but such phenomena could occur for short periods.”
