Barbuletiu, who was heading the Agency in the absence of a president, said she preferred to step down than to be replaced by the new government.
Tariceanu also approved Viorel Palasca’s withdrawal from government. Palasca, who was elected member of the Chamber of Deputies, worked as secretary of state with the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In addition, Tariceanu decided to dismiss, at his own request, Mihai Gheorghiu from position of secretary of state for relations with Romanians living abroad, culture, education and science with the Foreign Ministry and to temporarily promote Neluta Mihaela Petrescu to deputy secretary general with the Ministry of Environment.
