Romanian actor Gheorghe Dinica, 75, continues to receive medical care and treatment for blood infection at the Bucharest Floreasca Emergency Hospital, people close to the matter said.

Dinica is closely monitored at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Floreasca Hospital and his health condition is stable, the same sources said.
Dinica was admitted to the Floreasca Hospital on Thursday due to a respiratory infection, which subsequently led to complications.
Dinica, one of the most famous Romanian actors, made his debut as an actor with the film "The Stranger" in 1963 and has starred in over 60 films since then, among which, "The Afternoon of a Torturer," "Filantropica," "Regina" (TV Series), "Inima de tigan" (TV Series). Dinica also performed for some of the most famous Romanian theaters and acted in "Tache, Ianke and Cadâr," "The Name of the Rose," "Waiting for Godot," and many other famous plays.
Dinica also released several folk music albums alongside famous actor Stefan Iordache and famous artist Nelu Ploiesteanu.
Since 2002, Dinica has been honorary member of the society of I.L.Caragiale National Theater. Dinica, also an honorary citizen of the city of Bucharest, was awarded the "Faithful Service" Order in the Grand Officer class.
