Romanian Actress Marga Barbu Dies At 80

Romanian actress Marga Barbu, 80, died Tuesday at the Bucharest Emergency Hospital Floreasca after a long battle with a cardiovascular disease.

Barbu graduated from the Bucharest Institute of Theater back in 1950 and later on, she became famous for outstanding roles in "Haiducii," "Margelatu" or "Domnisoara Aurica."

She last starred in "Lacrima cerului" back in 1989.

In 2004, Barbu was awarded the National Order of the “Faithful Service,” in rank of Chevalier, for her outstanding artistic career.
