Racaru said the court's case file contains proof that the company has paid its debts.
Luana Stanciu, head of Blue Air's legal department, said the airline has challenged the court ruling (to allow insolvency claims against the company) and will file a request for the insolvency procedure's suspension on Monday. She added that Blue Air will take legal action against the people that attacked the company's image.
Stanciu explained that, upon learning in March from the press that an insolvency claim had been filed by airline Carpatair against Blue Air, the company paid its EUR30,000 debt within a few days. The same thing happened in May, when Service Excellence Solutions filed an insolvency claim against the airline, over a EUR48,000 debt, which Blue Air also paid in a few days.
According to Stanciu, other debts, to Club Zexe and Tarom, have been paid or will be paid shortly. She threatened legal action against the Court of Bucharest's spokesperson, who allegedly informed the press that Blue Air's debts amounted to EUR200,000, when even taking into account the old debts, which have been paid, the total sum did not exceed EUR80,000.
Company officials also announced Blue Air has launched a program for the summer of 2011, comprising more than one million tickets, of which almost half were sold in a single day, for a total of EUR700,000. Racaru talked about the airline's restructuring process and said Blue Air would rent two or three planes this month.
On Friday, Court of Bucharest spokeswoman Laura Radu told MEDIAFAX that the Court had allowed insolvency claims against low-cost airline Blue Air filed by airline Carpatair and Service Excellence Solutions.
